Enterprise/Systems Architect

Enterprise/Systems Architect

Description:

The DoDAF/Enterprise Architect (EA) discipline defines a high-level, enterprise-wide architecture focusing on Warfighting Platform Capabilities and Interoperability. The focus is on defining the relationships, flows and implementation of warfighting (processes/activities/functions, information exchange requirements and operation activities), in the enterprise. This typically involves the development of As Is ” and “To Be” war fighting platform capability and interoperability, data, application and technical models, and then developing the transition plan required to transition from the “As Is” to “To Be” architecture. Understanding “capability requirements” is necessary to ensure alignment of all operational activities and standards.

An effective candidate must posses an understanding of both DoDAF and Enterprise     Architecture Modeling and how to effectively translate war fighting operational, systems, and technical standards into value-added technology solutions. A candidate must be a analytical thinker – but capable of functioning in a pragmatic, result focused manner. A candidate should be able to successfully abstract to see the big picture, deal with ambiguity and conflicting priorities, set priorities, make compromises, analyze trade-offs, work across disciplines, persuade others, and manage conflicts. Ideal candidates will posses both knowledge and practical experience in Military Doctrine, DoDAF, and architecture modeling.
