Logistics Management

Description:

Provides logistics management/product support to programs/products across the entire systems lifecycle in order to maintain operational readiness, sustainment and overall operational capability of a system. Focuses on improving efficiencies and effectiveness while providing a fully integrated lifecycle solution for all logistics challenges; using a cradle to grave approach. Proactively provides Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to program/project teams specific to system design and development utilizing an integrated logistics management and supportability approach. Develops all pertinent lifecycle documentation required. Provides and coordinates detailed analysis and appraisal of hardware, systems, and equipment designs to ensure the integration of support considerations into the design process; works under limited supervision in an integrated team environment; performs related work as required.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, Logistics Analysis and Support, or equivalent experience. Masters degree, DAWIA certification, or advanced knowledge of Naval Aviation Maintenance Management Program is a plus.

Job Functions:

Support a team in providing integrated logistics support across a wide array of aviation platform and systems.

Determine support requirements such as facilities, personnel, safety, and maintenance.

Support program efforts including technical research, coordination of reports, and development of program monitoring systems.

Track implementation of required program activities and milestone accomplishment; evaluate progress on a continuing basis to determine problem areas; recommend corrective solutions.

Monitor the delivery of logistics hardware/software, Support Equipment (SE) end items, and technical publications in order to identify shortfalls and develop corrective solutions.

Support preparations for all Program Management Reviews and Logistics Support Conferences; Supply Support, SE, SE repair or spare parts, Calibration Standards and Technical Publications, and all associated program documentation.

Requirements:

Proven knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques involved in aviation integrated logistics support; integrated support plans, post-production support plans, and fielding support plans. Applies experience gained primarily on the job to investigate and develop solutions to such problems of moderate scope and complexity as support planning and analysis; estimating; scheduling; and tracking repair, overhaul, lease, and exchange activities. Proven ability to lead/participate in an integrated team environment is a must. EOE, M/F/D/V.
